The End :o)

I just wanted to let you all know....that I won't be posting here anymore.
Ugh.
It makes me feel sick to even type those words. It has been such a joy to spend each day interacting with you all, reading your comments and emails, and thinking of you and your reactions ever time I plan a craft or take a photo. I know it sounds corny and like I have no life, but I really honestly do love you guys. You've been my friends when I haven't had real ones.

I'm trying to be a big girl about it...all good things must come to an end, right? But the truth is-I am completely heartbroken.

I'll go ahead and leave the blog up in cyberspace so that you can come back and look through the archives for older tutorials if you need them later.

Thank you for everything.

Take care :o)

-Disney

P.S. I guess I lied about never crying. :o)

Oh no! I hope everything is ok. I love reading your blog and seeing all of the very cool projects you've done. It always seems like you enjoy it so much.

First, I hope everything is ok! Second, I have loved your blog and will miss your posts. Third, I don't second-guess your reasons for doing this, whatever they may be. Blogging can kind of start to take over one's life (and I have nowhere near 5,000 loyal followers!) - no idea if that has anything to do with your decision, but girl, we've got your back. :)

Beverly @ FlamingoToes.com said...

Oh I feel like crying too! You have been an inspiration to me with your style, humor, designs, photography and your dedication to your family. Thank you so much for everything you have done.

And whatever your reason is, we understand. We have families and "other lives" too.

We will miss you greatly! God bless you and your family Disney.

But why?? Don't we deserve an explanation of some kind? I mean if you're so heartbroken about stopping, there must be some reason. I'll miss your gorgeous tutes but I need closure!

Whaaaat?! Okay...sorry. I will be brave too. I will miss you dearly! I hope all is well with you and if it is not, I wish you the best in getting it all worked out.

I'm gonna try this again with the right words this time:).

Disney, you have been an inspiration to so many people. You are who "discovered" my blog and spread the word, and I am so thankful to you.

I am sad and you will be missed, but with that, I will still use your blog greatly and I support your decision. I hope that nothing happened to you or your family.

We love you and you will be missed greatly!

What? A craft blog world with no Disney Magic? How can this be? You took the blog world by storm! I think you may be the Queen or something... and now you're turning in your crown? I feel like one of my friends told me she was moving to Guam and then packed up and left and never told me why! :(

Best of luck to you, then, whatever your future endeavors! :)

Like the others have said...I hope and pray everything is ok with you and your sweet family. I will most definitely miss your blog-o-ruffles. As a mother of 2 girls, I so loved reading about all the lovely clothes you made for your daughter...you inspired me to sew my very first ruffles on a stained t-shirt for my little girl and it turned out so cute. You, Mrs. Disney, will be very, very missed.

Dearest Disney - we will sure miss you!

You taught me not to be scared of sewing when I was petrified and look at me I'm now altering my own clothes! I NEVER would have tried it without your ideas. It was very inspiring to see not "what new thing can I buy" but "what can I do with all this I already have?"

I will miss all those darling photos of your daughter too - so precious!

Take care. :(

You're stuff is really pretty, but what I enjoyed the most was your personality, and you could feel the love oozing out of the screen.
It's nice to read posts that make you smile :)
Thanks Disney for that.
I too, have to say that it just feels like you are moving to another blog, hance you playing around (testing), making this one different, and I think you are a lot like myself, where you're main conact with the world is via your blog.
I can though imagine how horribly under pressure I would feel with that many followers and often people expect things they would from a professional site, I think people forget that you are not getting paid, it is YOUR site and you do it for fun, if they don't like it they don't need to come.
I would hate to be under that sort of pressure though.. totally.
Also, I know that your business is your business, however you probably could have just left even a vague clue as to why you are not continuing with this blog anymore, noty just because of peoples curiosity, but also because your posts came into our lives once a week or more and people got to know you, and are now genuienlly concerned for you.
Gah... why I don't leave many comments, I babble too much!!
sorry in advance for all the spelling/grammer, I am not the secretary! hehe
All the very best if you are leaving teh blogging world, oh goodness all the very best anyway!.. lol what does one say?
Sincerly

Disney,

I'm sure you had your reasons for not sharing the "why." But, I'm insanely curious. So, instead of trying to pry, I have come up with my own:

A) You've just signed a contract for your own television crafting show, and "the network" has a PR person who is in charge of "managing the brand."

B)The Disney Company didn't want you to continue using the name Disney (but hey, it is totally YOUR name), so they settled out of court with you for $$$$$, and you and your loved ones are going to tour the world for a while.

C) A family member saw a bank robbery (thankfully nobody was hurt), and had to go into witness protection. You, hubby, and daughter are joining them, because there is nothing more important than family. Unfortunately, your name will be changed... to Universal Studios (just kidding... sorry... that was a REALLY BAD joke!)

D) All of the above (couldn't resist)

Whatever your new adventure, good luck & God bless... this little corner of the internet was made more beautiful just by having you in it. : )

I just started following your blog and I can already say you will be so missed. The love of God radiates from you and my prayer is that your posts will continue to reach those who read your older posts. It wasn't a shock when I read a post about you being a christian. It was obvious in the way you write, live your life and inspire others. May you find other areas of life to continue on doing what God has called you to do... inspire others. I read your post about how you don't always know who you are... I can tell you this... you are a child of God that he has and will continue to use to reach those around you. Be blessed my dear and I will miss you tons!!!

Oh Disney! You will get 1000 comments on this post:) Ever since I found your blog (I think I was one of your very first followers), I knew you had the talent, personality and skills to make it "big." God has blessed you to be an inspiration to this world. Never doubt that you have IMPROVED this world....seriously. I only dream of having the impact that you have had! You deserve the best that life offers. May you continued to be blessed (as much as all of us readers of your blog). I am sad for your departure (and hope that maybe once in a while you will sneak a new post in), but somedays I want to write that on my blog too. I hope and pray that there is not a tragic reason you are stopping your blog! Love you! Thanks for being such an inspiration to me!

Disney - Oh no! I'm sure you have the best reasons. I know blogs can kind of take over "real" life....but it's still okay for me to be sad, right?

I've always felt a little connection to you & love and appreciate your quirkiness and fun-spirit. I love looking at your pictures and think you have a real talent that many of us aspire to have.

You are an inspiration and I am hoping you can sneak in some tutorials now and then when you have something creative that you've done for you and not for the pressure that the blog itself has created.

Love,

Mandy

I was going to write about why I'm sad about this news, but then started to read some of the comments. Everyone has said it for me, so ditto, to all of the above.

I just hope everything is ok. Are you able to tell us that much, that everyone is ok? I think that would help a lot of people who genuinely care, to worry just a little bit less.

You'll be missed.
Gosh, feels like an obituary!

I just wanted to let you know, you inspired me to start sewing. Now it is one of my favorite things. Thank you so much for that. The craft-blog world is better because you were in it. Thanks so much for everything you have done. You will be missed for sure.

WOW Disney! Have read some of the previous comments - am a little shocked by the people seeking explanations. Feel a bit cross wit them - you have shared so much of your life - and your family's lives- with us that you have a right to privacy - but thats my issue and not yours or theirs!

I really wish you all the best - I would like to echo so many loving wishes and add that you have been such a source of inspiration to me too.

I truely respect your wishes - go and grab a tissue girl and dont let your blubbing hit the keyboard!!!

You will be missed, but like so many people have said, all things have a season.

Will think of you kindly - thanks!

I hope all is well and happy with you and your family, and that your departure is only for good and positive reasons.

Thank you for your great tutorials and inspiration. I can now only hope and wish for a comeback of the Great Disney someday soon!
