*GIVEAWAY CLOSED* Everyone's doing it-WIN A SILHOUETTE SD!!!

Aaaaah! I'm so excited for this! I've seen silhouette giveaways all over the place, but I never enter them because I always think I have no chance! (Right?) But I was approached by Silhouette America to do a giveaway right here on Ruffles and Stuff, and they sent me one of my very own to try out and show off. Yay!!

If you've never heard of a Silhouette machine, it is an incredible electronic cutting tool for cutting pretty paper, cardstock, vinyl, heat transfer material, etc! You simply plug it into your computer and use the software that comes with it to print out pretty much anything your little heart desires. 

Scrapbooking and cards? Those little designs and letters are so expensive in the stores. You can make as many as you want at home!

And besides cutting, you can also create gorgeous sketches with marker attachments!

Although I've only had time to do one project with it so far, I am beyond delighted with my machine. And I know that they give these away for advertising, not because they think I'm neat or anything, but I still kind of feel like giving them a really big hug for giving me one! :o)

Oh, what have I made? I'll show you.....

It's a pillowcase for Paige! It goes perfectly with the sweet little cupcake pillowcases that she got for Christmas from my sweet (and very talented!) mother-in-law.

The latest version of the free silhouette software has a tracing feature that allows you to trace the outside of photos you've uploaded from your hard drive. So I snapped a quick profile photo of Paige with the light behind her, and traced it to make my silhouette design. Then I grabbed a thought bubble design from the graphics store, and cut them both out with the silhouette flocked heat transfer material.
