Frumpy Dress Refashion

Well, Larissa, you twisted my arm. Here's another post for the day!
Another "refashion", or as I sometimes like to call them, "Ta-da! projects".....

I bought this dress for $1 at a thrift store the other day because I wanted the brown velvet to make Paige something. But then I thought "hey, why not make something for yourself for once?". So here it is:

Before.....

Ta-da! After!
I could have cropped the teddy bear out of that picture, but it appealed to my sense of humor. :o)

Here is a back view. There are buttons all the way down, but you can't really see them.

Trying to get a close-up of the ruffles. By the way, this isn't my model face, it's my "trying really hard to keep the camera strait" face.

Have a lovely day!!

  3. I would absolutely die of happiness if you ever came to visit! We have a whole separate floor for guests to stay in! I know that's a long trip for the girls though. That's when you start thinking about those DVD players that people have in their cars! :o)
