Earring Shoe Clips!

Much like the bird mobile, this is something I invented that everyone else invented, too! It's only natural though, since it's so simple and pretty!

1) Find some old clip on earrings:

Local thrift store, $1.50
2) Find out how ugly they are when you put them on:

3) Clip them to your shoes instead!!

Pretty, pretty!

I originally bought them to put on necklaces, which I will probably still do. But now I have to go back and get more, in every color, for the rest of my shoes!

Little side note about the "props";
The other day I asked my husband if he had any (of his millions of) books that he could spare for a project I was going to make. He returns from his office with three gorgeous old books dating from 1850-1888! Like I'm going to cut up a beautiful 160 year-old book!! Then he tells me, nonchalantly, "Oh, there's a whole box of these at the Church building marked 'get rid of''." I almost peed my pants!!

They are now nestled comfortably(and safely!) in my living room.

  1. Another cute idea.

I am really enjoying your blog; so I have nominated you for an award. Please go to my blog to get it.

  2. Those are adorable on the shoes! On the ears, not so much. LOL.

OMG...the little bit about your husband makes me want to scream!!! I'd cry to see something like that thrown in the garbage.

  3. Love!! Glad you didn't pee your pants though ;)

  4. These are so pretty on the shoes and not so much on the ears!!! I love old books and can not imagine that they were getting rid of them!!!

  5. What a great idea - love it! Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest! Lovely blog you have here! Best wishes, Carla.

  6. Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest

LOVE this idea. The shoes are so much sweeter with those HUGE earrings on them....much better than what they look like on ears!

  7. Those earrings were meant for shoe bling! Great idea!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest!

  8. Just found your blog - can't wait to see what you're doing with the old books! I have some stocked up for a project as well:

  9. Love this idea too. Old books like that make me want to pee my pants too ;) Glad they're safe!

  10. I LOVE old books!! Books in general, but the look of an old book is so....whimsical almost. Years of people reading, learning, sharing, and exploring that particular book... great decoration piece and "prop"
