  6. Disney! I thought you said you don't make headbands!? Well, I'm glad you gave it a try, I love them! I hope you didn't make too many for Paige, because I just sent her Gabriela headband off in the post this morning! she might get sick of all these ridiculously cute headbands! What's a little girl to do? Good work on the tutorial, so cute!

  7. I have literally been making these since I saw the post this morning. They are addicting! Taking a break to feed the kids some lunch then going to make mom/daughter matching set (cuz I'm a dork like that LOL, I know you are too!). Thanks for the great idea! It's the perfect little creativity outlet today.

  9. Love these! I’m on the hunt for a fun craft for my craft group to do. These are in the running! I wonder if we hand stitched instead of using the machine if they would hold up. They would all laugh in my face if I asked them to bring their sewing machines along too :o)

  10. I read your tutorial & these are PRECIOUS! I have a really small head and headbands always fall right off. This may be the perfect way for me to get an adorable headband that FITS me & my small head!

Do you think that putting on the elastic band and marking the excess would be the best way to start out measuring for the length before I start cutting pieces?

    THANKS for sharing {like always}-

  11. Jen: I know what you mean! I usually make mine a little bigger because they give me a headache if they're too tight. I would probably sew one side of elastic to your ribbon, and then wrap it around your head to "try it on" to see where it feels right, and ust hold your finger there, and cut your ribbon to that length. (does that make any sense??)

I posted the pics of two of the finished headbands I made from your tutorial along with a link back to you. I'm not sure how you get the pics for your "you tried it" page but feel free to use mine.

  23. Go to Martha Stewarts web site. She has a tutorial on how to make the large crepe paper flower balls to hang from the ceiling.

    Good Luck with the shower

  25. Yes... I'm about 4 months out! But I had to comment here. I found your blog today and when I came across this tutorial I had to give it my doll spin. I have an obsession with 18" dolls and downsized this to fit them. Once I can get my hands on some more elastic I will be making a me-sized one! Thanks,
