15 minutes.
That's how long it took me to make this dress!
One stained t-shirt + 1/2 yard of super cute polka-dotted jersey.
Cut the top of the t-shirt off, and measure all the way around the bottom edge. Cut fabric that is twice that measurement by whatever length you choose, and gather one side of it. (sew with a long strait stitch, and pull one of the threads to gather)
When it's gathered to the same length as your shirt, pin your gathered edge to the bottom of the t-shirt, right sides facing each other.
And sew it on with a zig-zag!
If you have more stains to hide, cut a few inches of strips of extra fabric, and use what I call the "wad and roll" method to create "flowers". Pin, and sew on with your machine!
This dress reminds me of Hanna Andersson's "It's a Playdress, It's a Daydress!" dress. Super comfy and versatile!

Okay... ADORABLE. I have dubbed this my project for the night. 15 minutes, seriously!?
Ahhhh, I used a straight stitch..guess a zigzag stitch is the secret to success. I tried this right before Christmas because I had heard how easy it was, but I somehow messed it up. Guess I will try again.

That's adorable! I've seen a similiar tutorial but it was with a bow and used cotton so it was a little more complicated - this jersey is great and easy to use. I also love the flowers you added!

Hi! I'm getting ready to make this and think I'm missing a step... after gathering the top do you need to sew the side edges of the knit fabric together to create a "tube" (one continuous circle of fabric)? Maybe this is a "duh, yes you do" thing, but I wanted to be sure since I'm a newbie to sewing.
