A Splash of Color!

Sometimes you just need a little change!

Up until now, Paige's room has been pink, pink pink.
I wish I'd taken more "before" photos, but here's a little corner of the pinkalicious world she was in:

A little while ago we decided to go through the house and see what we could find to add a little more fun to the color scheme. Isn't that fun to do sometimes?

The first thing we found was this map downstairs in storage. Paige loves to show people where she was born and where daddy was adopted from.

Her pink Jenny Lind style changing table said bye-bye to make room for a big-girl bookcase.

Four shower curtain clip rings turned a few pages from a vintage children's book into art.

And more art was made from cards we grabbed from a Dr. Seuss board game we never play! Someday I'll get a frame for them, for now they're stuck on the wall with sticky-tac. :o)

A colorful mat to practice writing on.

And we brought in a cute little vintage table and chairs for coloring and things.

But my favorite bits of color are two of Paige's new birthday presents!

A gorgeous new "Paige" dolly from grandma...
(Which mommy plays with almost as much as Paige.)

And possibly the cutest doll ever made from Kellie at RiceBabies!
After I did a giveaway with her a little while back, she sent this doll for Paige. I could have died when I opened the package. Isn't it just adorable?? She's very well made, too. (You can check out her store here if you want one, too! And check out the chalkboard bunting! Fun!!)

Thanks, Kellie!!

Isn't it fun to shake the decor up once in a while?

~

I hope this post finds you well!
I've been trying to post a little more often, it sure is nice to visit with you all more frequently!

Some of you have been asking what I'm up to and so busy with these days. Nothing very glamorous. I've been really trying to devote my life more to others, and it takes a fair bit of my free time away. I didn't really want to mention that and seem like I'm trying to look like "Super-Holy-Woman" or something. Haha. And I'm sure I don't do very much anyway, but I'm trying.

But! I've been working on my multi-tasking skills so that I can keep up with my blog a little better at the same time. (I do sleep a little less than I used to, but you know, it's not so bad!)

Well, I hope I talk to you soon!
Love,
-Disney

  23. The room is adorable! Thank you for posting the idea of curtain clips to hang artwork! I have a box full of my daughter's artwork that I want to hang in her playroom, but have been waiting to figure out a way to hang them that is cute and that will allow me to change the artwork out easily. It just so happens that I have a bag of those clips laying around unused! Yay for an easy, cute and FREE project!
