A Robe for Paige!
Dana, from MADE just finished her Beach Robe (made from a towel!) pattern for kids. Oh my! How cute it is!! She asked me and a few others to test the pattern for her in advance, and here is the one I made for Paige:
She loves it!!
Great for the beach (or lake)
Great for the bath!
It was perfect because Paige hates being cold after a bath and can't keep her towel on, so I've been looking for an inexpensive robe for her. :O)
I have to tell you this: I almost peed my pants when Dana asked me to test her pattern for her. I love Dana. Love her! So, I didn't really want to say "nooooo thank you!!", but I was seriously afraid. I DON'T do patterns. They hate me, I hate them, we stay away from each other. But she sent me the pdf, I swallowed hard, put on my big-girl pants and tried it out. Oh my goodness! It was so easy!! And now I love Dana even more. :o) I want to make infinity of these robes. Paige needs at least 5, right?
Anyway, you can check out the pattern here if you wish! It has instructions for lots of different versions, so you can really make it your own. It's fun!
And! Speaking of patterns, I'm almost done with the fox. It's not as fancy as Dana's, but hey, I'm not Dana. I'm Disney! And this will be my first pattern! I'm excited.
So have a great night! Happy Father's Day tomorrow!!
This is such a good idea! And Paige looks absolutely adorable in it :)ReplyDelete

It looks adorable. My daughter has been asking for a robe. I have been meaning to make her one for a while now.ReplyDelete
It's adorable! A pretty robe for a pretty girl :)ReplyDelete
YOu did such a great job. I was so excited when Dana posted this pattern only to learn that it doesn't go up to my girls' size which is an 8. The one that you made come out so nicely that I might just have to buy it and try sizing it up.ReplyDelete
Looks great, I love it in yellow. Great review for Dana's pattern, I don't do patterns either so it i great to know it is easy :)ReplyDelete
Paige looks adorable, and I'm so excited for the fox pattern!ReplyDelete

Oh the robe is so cute! And so is Paige and those dimples!!ReplyDelete
So very cute! This is definitely going on my to do list.ReplyDelete
You are so funny :). I never would have thought you'd never sewn with a pattern! I love you for saying yes...and for making something super cute!ReplyDelete
Thanks for sharing with everyone!
And I'm excited to see Foxy :)
DKB: Paige is a 4T (max) and I made the largest size. As you can see, there's plenty of growing room! I think next time I'll make the smaller one.ReplyDelete
You're so funny and silly too, Disney. You're very girly and seem to be a great mom! Love the blog! Have a good week :DReplyDelete
It's really cute! Thanks for sharing.ReplyDelete
I almost fell off the couch when I saw the picture of Paige sitting on the little stool...I had one of those when I was little! My parents still have it in there hall bath for my kids to use. "Step up, I'll help you work and play, or sit and rest on a busy day."ReplyDelete
So glad to see you posting again!
Paige could not be any more adorable even if she tried!! She is so cute it makes me miss when mine were that age. And I love the way the robe turned out too.:0)ReplyDelete
This is so cute, and I love the color you chose for Paige's robe and the flower on the front! If only I had a little one to make one for! Love your blog!ReplyDelete
Super cute! You always take pictures in the most amazing looking places!ReplyDelete
What a cute robe! I just found your blog...yay! I must make this for my girls! I love the one you made though!ReplyDelete
Well, Paige is absolutely great here. I like the design and color of her robe, truly adorable. There's no much detail on the robe which I admire most.ReplyDelete
That is adorable! I just had to mention, that I used to have that exact step stool when I was her age!! I have no idea what happened to in, but since I am short, I used it up until I moved out of my parents house at 20!ReplyDelete
This bathrobe is very cute, also the color selection is just phenomenal.ReplyDelete
