Flea Market Finds
OK, technically it these aren't from a flea market. But "Senior Center Thrift store Finds" didn't have the same ring to it. :o)
Yesterday was my husband's day off, which he usually spends working, but this time we decided to go as a family to our favorite local thrift store. I love that that's something my husband and I both like to do. Not every husband enjoys going thrifting with their wife, so I think it's great.
We ran into a sweet lady from church, and I met another woman who ended up sharing with me her story about finding her long-lost identical twin, which left me in tears (nothing like crying in front of everyone!). Eyes dried, I refocused on my goal: finding amazing things that I don't need!
Check out my goodies!
Look at this bundle of printed knit! Sweet! I have this really good (I think?) idea for it. But I have to do it fast, because every time I have a new idea I end up seeing someone else do it two weeks later before I get the chance. It's like we're all connected through crafty thoughts!
And I looove this pillow. Agh. How beautiful. My husband didn't understand it, though, bless his heart.
I loved this wrapping paper (I'm thinking photo backdrop) and these giant pom-poms. Wouldn't they be cute attached to the pull strings of a hoodie or something?
Paige thought they looked like ice cream. :o)
All that for less than the price of a frappuccino! (Ooh, frappuccino...)
I love that thrift store.
Here's to a great weekend for everyone!
Love your finds! And great prices too! I can't wait to see what you do with the knit fabric :)ReplyDelete
I like your finds :) beautiful stuff :)ReplyDelete
Wow! You have some amazing finds! Good finds make me giddy for the rest of the day. : ) (Love the pillow!)ReplyDelete
Gotta love a good cheap thrifty thrill. I give myself a $10 limit and I can come home with the loot. You got good finds.ReplyDelete
You are going to have so much fun with that haul! Can't wait for you idea for the fabric...must run out and hit some garage sales!ReplyDelete
What an adorable girl and nifty use of the pom poms!ReplyDelete
How fun! I'm so glad my bf likes thrifting with me too. I love those poms especially as ice cream!ReplyDelete
Great finds! I feel the same way about crafty brain sharing. Love the last picture of Paige!ReplyDelete
I'm loving the colors!ReplyDelete
You got some good stuff. That floral fabric is really pretty. I'm the same way about getting ideas out. You're right, we all must be connected by our crafty thoughts (^_^)ReplyDelete
What great finds! :) I agree about us all being connected by crafty thoughts and having the same *GREAT* ideas, haha, it really seems that way sometimes!ReplyDelete
Totally jealous - I live in Norway and a lot of the things in thrift shops cost regular shop money. Totally takes all the fun out of it. Awesome haul though!ReplyDelete
Wow! That's awesome. My husband would rather do ANYTHING than go thrifting---and I mean anything. (Which is saying a lot because I make him suffer through a lot of my girlish whims.)ReplyDelete
Oh well, at least he doesn't complain and he'll patiently sit through me showing off all my finds and tell me that he "trusts my vision". But that is as close to thrifting as he's going to get.
I'm jealous of your senoir thrift store. I wish we had one of those around these parts.
I understand the pillow. It sprang on me from the picture. It looks great on a simple, light-coloured background!ReplyDelete
i love that pillow too! great finds!ReplyDelete

I created a blog because i like doing things myself too. Please check it out and follow me if you like it!
Thank you very much! Have a beautiful day! :)
You had a great outing! It can be fun on both sides, buyin and selling due to stories shared. Think Garage Sales. Your little Paige is just l-o-v-e-l-y!ReplyDelete
That pilloooow. I just wanna hug it!ReplyDelete
OH! That umbrella wrapping paper! My oh my is it adorable!ReplyDelete
Hello, I'm new to your blog. I am a avid reader of Cheri's blog "I am Momma Hear Me Roar." I was really impressed a few days ago with how you stood up for her when someone put a harsh comment on her blog. That is how I came to find yours, and am so glad I did!ReplyDelete
Disney! I worship at a local congregation in Tampa and stumbled across your blog and was so excited to see your faith and your talents shown in a Godly light! I have been following you ever since. So, naturally - I thought of you when I considered sharing this.ReplyDelete
Your influence could impact hundreds on this: please "like" Jessie's page. www.facebook.com/jessicajoyrees - children receive JoyJars (jars filled with toys, stickers, books, crayons, etc) in the hospital while they're facing treatment for cancer - all because of Jessie's dream! thank you!
Great finds, bargain places are the BEST! Well the best when you get great finds!ReplyDelete
