Flea Market Finds

OK, technically it these aren't from a flea market. But "Senior Center Thrift store Finds" didn't have the same ring to it. :o)

Yesterday was my husband's day off, which he usually spends working, but this time we decided to go as a family to our favorite local thrift store. I love that that's something my husband and I both like to do. Not every husband enjoys going thrifting with their wife, so I think it's great.

We ran into a sweet lady from church, and I met another woman who ended up sharing with me her story about finding her long-lost identical twin, which left me in tears (nothing like crying in front of everyone!). Eyes dried, I refocused on my goal: finding amazing things that I don't need!

Check out my goodies!

Look at this bundle of printed knit! Sweet! I have this really good (I think?) idea for it. But I have to do it fast, because every time I have a new idea I end up seeing someone else do it two weeks later before I get the chance. It's like we're all connected through crafty thoughts!

And I looove this pillow. Agh. How beautiful. My husband didn't understand it, though, bless his heart.

I loved this wrapping paper (I'm thinking photo backdrop) and these giant pom-poms. Wouldn't they be cute attached to the pull strings of a hoodie or something?

Paige thought they looked like ice cream. :o)

All that for less than the price of a frappuccino! (Ooh, frappuccino...)
I love that thrift store.

Here's to a great weekend for everyone!

love,
Disney

  11. Totally jealous - I live in Norway and a lot of the things in thrift shops cost regular shop money. Totally takes all the fun out of it. Awesome haul though!

  12. Wow! That's awesome. My husband would rather do ANYTHING than go thrifting---and I mean anything. (Which is saying a lot because I make him suffer through a lot of my girlish whims.)

Oh well, at least he doesn't complain and he'll patiently sit through me showing off all my finds and tell me that he "trusts my vision". But that is as close to thrifting as he's going to get.

    Anyways...

I'm jealous of your senoir thrift store. I wish we had one of those around these parts.

  20. Hello, I'm new to your blog. I am a avid reader of Cheri's blog "I am Momma Hear Me Roar." I was really impressed a few days ago with how you stood up for her when someone put a harsh comment on her blog. That is how I came to find yours, and am so glad I did!
