My Top Five Instagram Apps (and how I use them!)

I'll admit it.
I'm obsessed with Instagram.

I love how I can check out what other crafters and friends are doing throughout their day-it's so fun! It lets you see an even more personal side to them. Seeing your favorite blogger's kids snuggled on the couch in their jammies, or the foreign cuisine a friend is enjoying on their vacation, I love it!

Since I've been using instagram more I've discovered more and more photo editing apps for my phone that I've really enjoyed dinking around with, and I thought I'd share a few with you guys!

1. Snapseed ($4.99)

If you are only going to buy one photo editing app, I would totally recommend Snapseed. While it is a little more expensive than the rest, it isn't much more than a morning coffee, and most of the time it's all I use. You can adjust brightness, contrast, ambiance, saturation, sharpness, and more. You can also crop, straighten, add filters, blur and more! Then save it to your library, email it, or upload to FB, Flickr, Twitter or Instagram. Way cool. I really love it!

2. Picfx ($1.99?)

While I love Snapseed for the photo adjustments, Picfx is my go-to for filters. It has TONS of filters, and pretty cool ones, actually. I especially love their vintage and bokeh filters. :O) And at only $2, it's definitely worth its price!

3. Frametastic (Free!)
When I want to include more than one photo in one Instagram post I use Frametastic. Simple to use and with quite a few framing options, it's a good download...especially since it's free! :O)

4. Phonto (Free!)
Another simple but great app is Phonto. I use it whenever I want to add words to a photo. You can choose from tons of fonts, colors and sizes!

5. Montage Lite (Free!)

Lastly, an app that I use just when I'm feeling artsy is Montage (the "Lite" version is free!) You can add several images on top of each other, changing the position, angle and opacity. Super fun!

Doesn't that look fun?? If you have an iPhone or Android and you're not Instagraming, you should try it! It's fun. And no. No one paid me to say that. Haha.

I have an iphone, so I'm not sure if these apps are available for Android or not. But that's what I use! Thought I'd pass it on for whomever might enjoy that kind of thing. :O)

Have a super day!
Love,
Disney

  1. These all look so fun! Definitely going to try at least one of them out :)

Your blog has such a sweetness to it - not sickly artificial sweet like some other blogs - it's more like the smell of fresh flowers :)

And yes! Katie -- this is exactly my sentiment, but I could never put my finger on it. Such authentic sweetness here. I always love when my Google Reader has some unread from Ruffles and Stuff!

  2. May I also recommend LifeClip?
You can take pictures, adjust brightness/contrast, hue/saturation, apply effects/clip art/frames, make collages - and send directly to email/text/twitter/facebook/google+/and more.
Best of all - it's completely free.
