Waves Like Poems
Thought I'd share a few photos from out little beach trip last week. BEST vacation to date, you guys. Nothin' fancy, but we had the best time. Have any of you been to Ocean Shores, WA? Most people I talk to think that the Washington coast isn't the greatest. And to that I say: "DUDE! What??"
But I'm easily impressed. ;o)
My husband, who really is an awesome Daddy, took Paige to the hotel pool about 90 times which gave me time to walk along the beach alone. (And when I say "alone" I mean me, God and Coldplay. An awesome threesome, if I do say so myself.) I think I really needed that. And it was cold, so I got to do sweaters-on-the-beach which I love because it makes me feel like I'm in England.
Oh, p.s. I didn't use my DSLR at all on my trip! (Whaaaat!) So these were all taken with the iphone. Edited in Afterlight. FYI. :O)
Today was day 6 with our new foster-little. Hmm. I feel like I have to figure my heart out before I can really write about it. Of course I can't share a lot of details anyway. It's been going wonderfully so far. And by wonderfully, I don't mean smoothly or easily. :o) But then wonderful things usually aren't smooth or easy, are they?
One thing's for sure: I love this child. She may not be here forever, maybe not even long, but she has my heart. And if she leaves and a different child comes, it will have my heart as well. And so will the next. And the next. And I'm not afraid of that, like I used to be. I guess because as I give this love away, God replaces it with even more. I don't really understand that, but it's just magically there and it works.
Ya know, like the internet. ;o)
Have a good night, you! I think you're perfect.
