Checking the Mail (Something kinda fun, and do you have an Etsy shop??)

(A few Instagram "latelies", because I don't like posting without pictures) :)

So Saturday I checked my mailbox (not my real one, but you know, the metal one on the pole outside my house) and do you know what was in it??
Nothin'.
Isn't that one of the saddest feelings? For some reason I always have a little bit of giddy anticipation when walking out to check the mail. Like even though I haven't ordered anything, maybe there is something exciting in there anyway! Like a letter (a what?) from an old friend or a random package, or if I'm really lucky the newest J. Crew catalog! :) And hopefully it's not just me that feels a little depressed and slightly embarrassed when I face the rejection of an empty mailbox staring back at me. (Ok, so I make too big a deal out of things sometimes. Whatever.)

Anyway, I thought my mailbox was empty on Saturday, but it turns out there was something in there....A Magical Idea! It made me think that we should totally have a "happy mail" giveaway on ruffles and stuff! I'll round up a bunch of fun little sponsors and etsy shops to donate and send out one little item each. And the winner of the giveaway will get a bunch of fun and random things all in separate little packages and have happy mail for days and days! Won't that be so fun?? I totally want to win this giveaway, dude. I'm all excited.

So, I thought I would ask here first...do any of you lovely dears have an Etsy/Big Cartel shop?? Or anything like that? Or does a friend of yours have one? If you do and you have something smallish that you'd like to give away, I would be thrilled to include it. And you will have your shop shared with everyone in the giveaway post so it would be a win/win! You can leave me a comment here about it, or email me with your shop/company info and item that you'd like to donate and we'll go from there.

OK. In the mean time, I'm off to see if I can find some fun shops/sponsors myself. This'll be fun. :O)

Happy Monday, you all!
Love you!
-Disney

(P.S. Friday. Pink hair.)

  7. I feel the same way about checking the mail. Especially since we have a real mailbox now instead of an apartment mailbox! I have an Etsy shop but sadly, it is empty because I have not been brave enough to actually list anything. This might be just the kick in the behind I need! I would love to send something! (I make totes, little girls' dresses, and working on some women's dresses and crochet scarves). I have a beautiful green infinity scarf made out of the softest green yarn that I could send to you if you would like?! I made some dresses for the shop but my little one keeps falling in love with them and they end up in her closet! :)

My etsy shop is https://www.etsy.com/shop/sweettoothstudio and my facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/sweettoothstudioart. I could give a pendant, earrings, ribbon bracelet, or bookmark - let me know what you'd like! This is so generous of you to give those of us with shops some publicity and what a fun way to do it! I have followed you for years and was really sad when you decided you weren't going to blog much anymore. I'm glad you are still here inspiring us!

  27. SO good to see you still have little Ace. My heart breaks for these little babies and children whos parents dont/cant care for them. Having a 4 month old at the moment (and an 8 yr old) (oh they are my own but we have looked into fostering-it might come later) it really hits home for me and I hope you get to keep him long term as he would think you are his Mama and it would be terrible for him to be taken away in the future. Dear little things they are. Im glad he has you to love him!

My website is http://www.liamarcoux.com; I don't have a shop anywhere yet, but I'm thinking of setting one up. What a cute idea! I love getting mail, but then I save it so now I have boxes of letters and cards (but then seeing them makes me feel loved, so it's worth the space). : )
