Thankful

Random things I am thankful for this week:

  • Presidents. Without them, I would not have had the day off on Monday. (And also, the running the country thing is a very nice thing for them to do.)
  • My bed.
  • Sticky tac. I use it all the time. What if it didn't exist?? Life would be so hard.
  • My crappy car. You guys, our car is awful.  The paint is all coming off, the inside is literally falling apart everywhere. It's a tiny 2-door, so it's hard to get the kids out of, and if you bring two books and a lunchbox, there's no room for your feet. But! It takes us to all the places, and we don't have to walk! I'm so thankful for that!! It even has a heater so we don't get cold. Thank you, God.
  • Larabars. Because when you can't eat cookies, and you want to trick yourself into thinking you are eating them. I'm glad someone makes them and packages them, so I don't have to!
  • Ace's nap time. ;o)
  • You

Love you :o),

  1. Larabars are one of favorites! They are quite simple to make...and with lots of variations. Here's my go-to recipe: http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/chocolate-covered-recipes/fudge-baby-mania/

    1. Thanks for the link!! I've made them once before and they are totally easy. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the things I'm doing and my brain is like: "make a food?? WE CAN'T!!" :O)

  2. How on earth can you be thankful for this president who is going to cause the deaths of so many in your country with his terrifying policies and ideals...
I'm not even from your country and I'm terrified for you all.

    1. I'm really thankful for our presidential system, it's served our country pretty well so far! Not perfect, of course. :o) And once I understood this verse: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understand, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Phil 4:7) I truly almost never worry about anything. Ever. It's so bomb.

    1. Yess!! Ace thinks my sticky tac is playdoh or something, and he's always trying to steal it. I'm like boy, you're living dangerously. Don't touch the tac. :O)

  4. Hi Disney, thank you for your post, it was just what I needed to read. I had such a crappy day that I forgot we have a lot to be thankful.
    Cheers!

  5. It is a good idea to often stop during our day and be thankful, Disney. Thanks for the reminder as it is something I often forget to do.
