A Quick Jaunt to the Emerald City
Recently I got the chance to head back over to western WA and visit a very dear friend/bridesmaid/favorite barista of mine. I was gone for three days, and it was the first time I've ever left Paige for anywhere near that long, so I almost had a heart attack. But! It was so. much. fun. See my face?
I should tell you that aside from my faith in God, there are a few little things in life that I am pretty passionate about:
The superiority of Apple computers to all other pc's,
Creating things and...
Being an employee of the latter, my friend took me up to Seattle where we visited the Starbucks headquarters.
We also checked out the very first store ever opened at Pike Place...
Where these guys were playing on the sidewalk--I love live music!
(And you bet your booties I gave that mermaid a tankini. 'Cause I don't care who you are, that's just scandalous!)
There was no shortage of live music in Seattle. It was awesome! These guys cracked me up...
But my favorite was "Emery Carl". Seriously, who can do that??
And, well, the boys in the white skirts kind of scared me...but it was a cool photo.
Also at the beautiful market, the fish man was kind enough to throw a fish for us. Why this is a big deal, I may never know. I just smiled and thanked him anyway! :o)
The scenery in the city is just so breathtaking.
If everyone were nice, and there was no such thing as second-hand smoke, I would be living here.
People-watching and checking out the fun, funky styles...
Going for the occasional shoe-shine. You know.
And most of all, seeing old friends. Which is the best part about being there. :O)
Not the greatest photo ever, but...my favorite one of the trip. I love grey-blue water. It just feels like home.
Keep your tropical beaches, I just want clouds and a sailboat!
(One of my favorite songs, which suits the occasion perfectly! :o) )
Anyway, I hope that didn't bore you to tears. But if you've never been to Seattle, there's an itty-bitty preview of the beautiful city. You should try to make it one of these days. :O)
I've got some refashions coming up, so I'll see you soon! Hope you all had a great weekend!
