Dot Dot Dot...a Tee Refashion

Let's do something simple today. Something you don't even need a sewing machine for!

Grab an old tee, like this one I picked up at the Dollar Tree last year. (I knew I'd need it for something!)

Add some circles cut from another old, stained tee.

And hand stitch them to your shirt. Done!

And cute.

For best results, hand stitch while watching Pride and Prejudice. (The Collin Firth version, of course.)

You can use embroidery floss to stitch the circles on, or if you're too cheap to buy embroidery floss (like me!) just quadruple your thread. I love a slightly chunkier stitch, so it looks charmingly homemade.

Wear it with a smile!

Or a....you know, whatever.

Love you!

  6. Why, YES!! I also do any hand-stitching, embroidery, handiwork with P&P (Firth version) playing! It has such an inspiring and lovely opening, I think. :)

(Another good one to consider is Cranford. Truly lovely.) :)

  26. Omg I'm so excited! I have only read a few of your blogs ...so far! And I'm so excited to start doing stuff like this for my daughter! I am not! A holly-homemaker, so sometimes ..okay ALL the time! I have a really hard time coming up with ideas on what to make, how to make, ext. So finding a blog like yours (since my daughter ..okay ME is all about the ruffles / super girlie cute stuff). Can't wait to be more inspired! Btw: your daughters hair IS a part of her, but growing up is all about exploring new things :) enjoy her short hair while it's still short!
