Cowl Scarf

Do you remember the sweater headwrap we made earlier this week? It can also be made as a matching cowl scarf!

I made one a few days ago and just had time to finish it before I went out shooting (shutters, not triggers) at a local wildlife refuge with my dad.

I love this place.

And I love my Dad. :o)

Paige is rather attached to him as well! :o)

We love you, Papa! Thanks for a really fun day.

So! To make the cowl scarf, use the exact same technique as the headwrap, but with a 15"x30" rectangle instead.

You can cut the rectangle out the remaining middle portion of your sweater, like this:

Have a wonderful day!

Love you all,
Disney

  14. That is so stinkin' cute (as is the previous head wrap post) I would be terrified to cut up a sweater, even if I got it at good will! Cute pic of your dad/daughter;)

  18. My husband and I recently moved to the Tri Cities, and, well...it's been an adjustment. It's not exactly the type of beauty I'm used to, I guess. I've struggled a lot with the move, but these pictures give me a glimpse of what other people see when they look at this landscape. I'm going to try harder to see the beauty in it.

  19. This is really cute and a great idea. I was wondering where in Eastern WA this is? I live in Spokane now, but spent the last 5 years in Yakima. I love your blog, if you get a chance check out mine... http://homemadeglamour.blogspot.com/2012/01/homemade-laundry-detergent-will-change.html

  21. I love to peek into your sweet blog! The picture of your Father and Daughter is charming. I once bought a sweater with big collar, and I did detach it to make a scarf separate of the sweater. It works so well, and it not too hot to wear in the house anylonger.
    Enjoy your coming week!

  23. I am definitely making one of these this fall. I have so many old sweaters to refashion but being the heat of summer I have just blocked my brain from thinking too warm" LOL. Do you think this would work with Cashmere?
